Dental Implants
Dental Implants are metallic elements which go in the superior and inferior maxillary bones. Their main purpose is to replace the tooth´s root with its internal part, and the external one replaces the tooth´s crown.
When a person has lost one or several teeth, which could have been caused by periodontal disease, cavities, systemic disease or deterioration of the teeth structure. The result of this treatment is to have teeth firmly secured, as if they were natural teeth. Osseous integrated implants allow the dental prosthesis to be held with such firmness that when a person chews, there is no feeling of instability. With prosthesis over implants, chewing feels natural and it can even have better consistency, allowing the patient to develop greater chewing strength.
